Emilio Pérez Marcos studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Spain, where he was granted a two years Young Researcher position. Since 2014 he works as Fellow Researcher, first within the Algorithms and End-Devices group, now in the Receiver and Transmitter Systems Group, both in the Institute of Communications and Navigation at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Munich. His current research topics include signal disturbances, interference, spoofing and cybersecurity in real time GNSS receivers and Spatial-Temporal Adaptive Processing techniques for Antenna Array systems. He co-chairs the EUROCAE’s WG-133 on GNSS Multi Elements Antenna and CRPA.

    From Vulnerability to Resilience: CRPA and Array Systems for GNSS Jamming Mitigation in Modern CNS

    The evolution of Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) systems is essential for Trajectory Based Operations (TBO) and broad adoption of 4D Trajectories. Modern airspace operations rely on secure, resilient, real time data exchange using ADS B, Mode S, VHF, SATCOM, and scalable digital architectures to support rising traffic and new unmanned systems. At the same time, GNSS jamming and spoofing threaten navigation integrity. This session examines how advanced digital CNS capabilities—multi constellation navigation, interference detection and mitigation, APNT solutions, and robust PNT architectures—integrated with 5G/6G and LEO/GEO satellites can strengthen resilience, ensure safety, and enable future data driven airspace management
