A French national, he has worked in multiple locations and areas for Thales spanning 40 years career covering computing domain first in the naval domain then in the aircraft military area and now covering both commercial and military areas.

Marc has spent five years as a Computing Technical Director then 5 years as Director for managing the R&T at the Avionics Global Business Unit Level and now he is the Scientific Director and manage all the relation with academics. Marc is involved in advanced researches and in this domain, he has more than 40 publications and 25 patents covering all the domain of embedded systems.

Marc is now the scientific Director & Academics Relationship for Thales AVS working in the domain of AI and Cognition (HAT), Computing, Crew Monitoring, Cyber-security, Marc is also Industrial Director for the Scientific Interest Group named ALBATROS to conduct research between Thales AVS, DMS and the Academics Domain: Bordeaux University, Poitiers University, Limoges University, Bordeaux-INP, INRIA and CNRS.

Marc was elected in the last Municipal Elections in 2020 to the post of Deputy Mayor in charge, for Pessac city, of economic development, businesses, innovation and research. As such, he is in charge of the Smart City approach and its deployment in Pessac.

  • Human‑Machine Teaming

    As AI, automation, and virtual systems transform flight decks, the relationship between pilots and machines is being redefined. We explore the evolution from traditional interfaces and autopilots to true human–machine teaming, where the pilot remains central “in the loop.” How can intelligent systems generate and communicate scenarios, assist decision-making, and how emerging technologies—such as AR-enabled displays, adaptive interfaces, and virtual copilots— can enhance pilot performance and trust. It will also look at the balance between innovation, human factors, and regulatory constraints to ensure safety and usability remain at the core of next-generation cockpit design.
