Jose Ruiz is a Product Manager at AdaCore with 30 years of experience in embedded, safety-critical, and real-time systems. He has authored or co-authored nearly 50 publications in these areas and holds a Ph.D. in real-time and multimedia systems, with research spanning scheduling policies, resource management, and the design of real-time operating systems.
He is a recognized expert in the certification of high-integrity systems across the aeronautics, space, railway, and automotive domains. His work includes certifying run-time libraries, and qualifying verification tools and automatic code generators from modelling languages.
Throughout his career, Jose Ruiz has contributed to the definition of programming language profiles for embedded systems and to the design and implementation of the run-time libraries required for bare-metal execution on constrained targets. His current work focuses on bringing robust, certifiable technologies to modern embedded architectures and safety-critical development workflows.
